Using Zoom with Hublink
How to connect Zoom to your Hublink calls, what happens when someone books, and how to disconnect it again.
Last updated
The short version
Five things to know.
- Connect Zoom once, from any call in your Store. It’s part of Pro and Enterprise.
- Every booking gets its own Zoom meeting, on your Zoom account.
- Reschedule and the meeting moves. Cancel and it’s deleted.
- Hublink only touches meetings it created. Nothing else in your Zoom account.
- Disconnect any time, from Hublink or from Zoom.
The full steps are below.
Before you start
Hublink’s “Book a call” lets you sell 1:1 sessions from your Hublink page. The Zoom app gives each booked call its own Zoom meeting, so you never paste a link by hand.
- A Hublink account on the Pro or Enterprise plan. See the pricing page.
- A Zoom account.
- A call product in your Hublink Store.
Adding the Zoom app
- In Hublink, open Store and pick your call product.
- Go to Where it happens, find the Zoom row and tap Connect.
- A Connect Zoom sheet lists what Zoom will ask you to allow: “Create a meeting per booking” and “See your Zoom name”. Tap Continue with Zoom.
- Sign in to Zoom if asked, and click Allow.
- You’re back on your call with Zoom connected. The Zoom row shows your Zoom email and a Connected badge.
- Pick Zoom as the call’s place and save.
You connect Zoom once. Any of your other calls can then use Zoom too — pick it under “Where it happens”.
Using Zoom with your bookings
When someone books
Hublink creates a Zoom meeting on your Zoom account for that booking, at the booked time. There’s nothing for you to do.
Where the join link shows
- On the buyer’s You’re booked screen, with Join Zoom and Copy buttons.
- In the buyer’s confirmation and reminder emails.
- For you, in Store → Calls.
Joining the call
The link works from 10 minutes before the call. The buyer can join before you do.
Rescheduling
A buyer can reschedule from the manage link in their emails. You can reschedule from Store → Calls → Reschedule. Either way, the same Zoom meeting moves to the new time.
Cancelling
If the call is cancelled, Hublink deletes its Zoom meeting.
If Zoom can’t be reached
If Hublink can’t create or update a meeting — say Zoom is down — the booking still stands. You get a notification so you can send the buyer a link yourself.
What Hublink can do in your Zoom account
The app asks Zoom for these permissions, and uses each one for one thing:
meeting:write:meeting— to create a meeting when someone books a call.meeting:update:meeting— to move that meeting when the call is rescheduled.meeting:delete:meeting— to delete that meeting when the call is cancelled.user:read:user— to show which Zoom account is connected (your Zoom name and email).
Hublink only changes meetings it created for your bookings. It never reads your other meetings, your recordings or your chats.
What we store
- Your Zoom user ID, account ID and email.
- The permissions you granted.
- For each booking, its Zoom meeting ID and join link.
- The refresh token Zoom gives us to keep acting for you, encrypted (AES-GCM).
The privacy policy covers this in full.
Removing the Zoom app
From Hublink
- Open Store and pick a call.
- Under Where it happens, on the Zoom row, tap Disconnect.
Hublink revokes its access with Zoom and deletes the stored connection. If a call still meets on Zoom, Hublink asks you to pick another place for it first.
From Zoom
- Sign in at zoom.us and open the App Marketplace.
- Go to Manage → Added Apps.
- Find Hublink and click Remove.
Zoom tells Hublink right away. We stop using Zoom immediately and wipe the stored token.
Meetings already created
Meetings Hublink already made stay in your Zoom account. Delete them in Zoom if you don’t need them.
